This time we visit Hamburg, Kiefersfelden, Wendlinghausen Castle and Dresden
Germany's biggest nightlife and entertainment quarter, and is home to the largest port in the country.
Cartoonist and illustrator Calle Claus loves the more unconventional side of Hamburg. He recommends a visit to the Schanze neighborhood, the "Saal II" bar and the Millerntor Soccer Stadium, home to the St. Pauli soccer club.
At this time of year, wintersports fans in southern Germany mostly head to the alpine slopes to go skiing or snowboarding. But if you're looking for something a little different and you're the adventurous type, you may want to try canyoning. Equipped with a neoprene suit, helmet, carabiner and ropes, participants cross over icy mountain rivers and abseil down rockfaces.
Wendlinghausen lies nestled in the Westfalian countryside, the perfect setting for a romantic castle. Built by Hilmar von Münchhausen in the early 17th century, it has remained in the family ever since. The owner is happy to show us around. There are no shortage of anecdotes linked to the castle - which once played host to one of the most colorful characters in German history.
Guillermo Villalta from El Salvador is studying German in Dresden. He shows us around the city - and as we discover, Guillermo is interested in a lot more than just learning the language.
